In 2022 I started to challenge myself to make new pieces using sterling silver off cuts from my scrap pot.  This became my #scrappotchallenge and I made a number of pieces of jewellery that stretched me creatively and I absolutely loved coming up with new ideas on a whim.  The day I made my first little pair of flower stud earrings I ended up having to make a dozen more in the following days as they were so popular.

Over the last few months, since making that first pair of flower earrings, I have practiced, played around with the design, thinned out the silver and made them slightly smaller than the original, chunky pair.  Basically I have refined and perfected them and I then went on to make this slightly bigger version so that they can have a bail added and then be worn as a dainty drop earring.  I am so pleased with this little flower and how it has evolved.

Each Little Flower drop is 10mm in diameter, with a 25mm total drop and weighs 1.6g (including the hook) in solid sterling silver.  Based on the shape of the tiny Forget-me-not blooms these have five petals and are the perfect gift for someone you want to keep in your thoughts.
