Achmelvich Bay Toggle Bracelet

£170.00

It is no secret that I am an avid beachcomber and, having spent much of my childhood abroad, I feel very much at peace when I am near the ocean.  I have lived on the east coast of Scotland for over 3 decades and am a regular visitor to the East Lothian beaches Gullane, Yellowcraigs and Longniddry as well as the East Neuk of Fife with my favourite Kingsbarns and Elie beaches.  When my husband and I tied the knot in 2016 we decided to have our Mini-Moon in Scotland and we headed across to the west coast.

We spent three nights under canvas at Achmelvich Bay (don’t ask me about the final night spent in a 5 star hotel with spa- I would have preferred another night at the beach), with its white sands and chrystal clear waters.  Walks and campfires along with wild swimming and beachcombing were some of the activities that made up our romantic little getaway.  I collected a multitude of mini-moon beach treasure during our stay and I think seven years is long enough for me to be keeping it all to myself in my keepsake box, so here I am sharing with you the Achmelvic Bay Bangle, another piece to add to my Highland collection.

Two of my precious shells and a small pebble have been cast in solid sterling silver and turned into beautiful bangle charms for you to wear as a little piece of Scotland on your wrist.  This is the bracelet version of my Achmelvich Bay Charm Bangle. The chain is a belcher style chain, premade, and is solid sterling silver.  The toggle is handmade out of 2.5mm thick round wire and the three charms are permanently attached to the circle part of the toggle but they move freely. You can choose the your required bracelet size from the drop down box and recommend adding 1cm onto your wrist circumference for comfort.  The shells include a Limpet and a Cockle shell and I love how all the textured detail has been encapsulated by the casting process.  The shells are a lovely contrast to the smooth asymmetrical shape of the little pebble.  The whole bracelet is solid sterling silver.

Hallmarked in Edinburgh.

The Achmelvich Bay Charm Bracelet arrives in a Silverpickle gift box tied with ribbon and includes a polishing cloth.
