Molten Huggie Hoops – 9ct Gold

I have been making these chunky huggie hoops in solid sterling silver for a good few years now. They are easy to wear and look lovely on.
I felt that making them in solid 9ct gold would be lovely but could be an expensive mistake if they didn’t work out so I cast them from a silver master instead. Each hoop is 3mm in width, measures approximately 12mm in diameter (so they sit fairly snug on the lobe) and weighs 1.9g (including the scroll) meaning it is not heavy and pulling the lobe downwards. A post is soldered to the top and a butterfly/scroll holds the hoop in place on the ear. Perfect for every day wear.
