This heart is fabulous! If you like a statement necklace and you love a heart……this is the piece for you.
I carved the original heart in wax and with no real idea of what I was going to do with it, once it was finished, it was just such a joy to carve. The heart walls are smooth and tactile yet there is a hint of texture in places, left by my carving tools. Once I saw how beautifully it cast in solid sterling silver I knew it had to be made into a necklace.
This piece can be worn on any length of chain as it looks great short, as a collar chain, or longer, so it can be layered.
The chunky heart measures 36mm at its widest point and 35mm at its longest. It is 3.5mm thick and weighs 14.2g in solid sterling silver. The chain is a chunky solid sterling silver Belcher chain and it has a Lobster clasp for attachment. The chain is 18″ and permanently attached by chunky rings but please contact me if you would prefer it as a shorter piece and I can shorten the chain slightly for you.
